Male Pattern Baldness is indeed a genetic hair loss condition. Another common misconception is that it is inherited from the mother’s side of the family, but the truth is that it can be passed on via either the paternal or maternal line. One famous example of Male Pattern Baldness being passed down the paternal line is Prince William’s hair loss, which has followed in the follicular footsteps of his father Prince Charles, and uncle Prince Edward.
Exercise is not just to keep your body fit, it also makes your mind stress free. Any exercise- walking, yoga, swimming, aerobics, playing etc.- release feel-good chemicals in your body keeping whole of your body and mind stress free and healthy.
And there’s something to be said for oils even when you don’t eat them: When used as a pre-wash and post-wash grooming product, coconut oil has been shown to protect hair against protein loss, and rosemary oil has been shown to increase hair growth comparable to minoxidil, the main ingredient in Rogaine—and with less scalp itching.

Choose a suitable shampoo for your hair type. Getting a good shampoo will really help you to have a healthy head of hair, so take time to find that matches your hair type. Consider if you have fine, dry, greasy or normal hair and try a few different ones to find what works. If you have dandruff or colour your hair, get a shampoo that is specifically meant for this.

Prepare for your appointment. Before you go to your appointment, it’s a good idea to think about the symptoms you are experiencing so you can describe them clearly to the doctor. Consider when you first began experiencing hair loss, and whether has been occasional or continuous. Also ask yourself:

With that said, The American Hair Loss Association still recommends the drug for those who have not responded favorably to finasteride treatment or for those who would like to add another product to their regimen. The AHLA does not recommend minoxidil as the first line of attack for men suffering with male pattern baldness, but does recognize it as an effective treatment for a small percentage of its users.
Eat enough protein. Protein is essential for strong hair. A deficiency in protein can lead to dry and weak hair, and ultimately, hair loss. Adequate protein can help to provide the amino acids that strengthen hair. It is often included in shampoos, but it’s protein from your diet that will help improve the condition of your hair and prevent hair loss if you eat it in large enough quantities.
Castor oil has long been touted as a cure-all for many ailments, and hair loss seems to be no exception. Massage your scalp regularly with cold-pressed castor oil and potentially enjoy thicker hair. It is a very fatty kind of oil, which can protect your hair against falling follicles.
You can also massage with olive oil, almond oil or mustard oil. Heat the oil a little and give a gentle massage to the scalp to improve circulation. A mixture of lemon juice and coconut oil can be used.
Ask for a shorter, volumizing cut. Short cuts are gentler on thin hair. If you allow your hair to grow out long, it will start to separate in thin locks and expose regions of the scalp. Instead, go for a shorter length, while requesting layers. Many stylists are familiar with hairstyles for thinning hair, so don’t be afraid to have an open dialogue.
