Women’s hair seems to be particularly sensitive to underlying medical conditions. Some of the most promising research on reversing female-pattern hair loss was released in January 2015 in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. Other than Propecia, I would use a hair loss shampoo and possibly look into dutasteride (I take 0.5 mg twice per week with zero side effects, but my crown is becoming thicker).

A: False. You’re balding because your hair follicles are more sensitive in places to the DHT on your head. If high levels of testosterone caused it, then you’d experience hair loss all over your body as well.
